Director AR Murugadoss is gearing up to captivate audiences with his upcoming Eid release, Sikandar. Having debuted in Bollywood with the 2008 Aamir Khan-starrer Ghajini, which became a massive hit, Murugadoss recently teased the idea of a Ghajini sequel in an interview, hinting that he may begin working on it in the near future.

AR Murugadoss recently shared, “There’s a possibility for Ghajini 2. We have a concept in mind, and we’ll sit down to discuss it. If all goes well, we’ll move forward. I have a basic idea, though not a complete script yet. “If it happens, we will produce it in both Tamil and Hindi,” as reported by PTI.In a prior Pinkvilla interview, he noted that while ideas for the sequel exist, the question remains, “Who will star as the hero of Ghajini 2? That’s something we need to finalise.” Meanwhile, Ghajini producer Allu Aravind has voiced his enthusiasm for a second instalment, aiming to break box office records once again.

Ghajini, a remake of AR Murugadoss’s 2005 Tamil film starring South actor Suriya, follows Sanjay, a businessman suffering from anterograde amnesia, as he seeks revenge for the murder of his fiancée, Kalpana. Asin played the role of Kalpana in both the Tamil and Hindi versions of the movie.

On another note, the trailer for AR Murugadoss’s upcoming film Sikandar dropped this weekend. It showcases Salman Khan’s portrayal of Sikandar as gritty and intense, blending his iconic larger-than-life persona with the character’s quest for vengeance, love, and justice. Rashmika Mandanna shines in the trailer, captivating audiences with her effortless charm.

Sikandar boasts a star-studded cast, including Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi, with Sajid Nadiadwala as the producer. The film arrives in theaters on March 30, 2025. For Salman Khan, Sikandar marks a significant return to the big screen following his 2023 release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, with fans eagerly anticipating his next action-packed venture.
