Pakistan built a new cricket stadium in Rawalpindi for a Test match against Zimbabwe, getting ready for the 1996 World Cup. It’s the 14th Test ground in the country. Karachi had the first one. The new stadium is near a big city of almost four million people and close to Islamabad, the capital, just three miles away. It can hold 15,000 fans. Last January, Pakistan played a one-day match there against Sri Lanka and won by 117 runs, taking the series 4-1.
